Living, like parenting, is something which is not taught. Living well does not necessarily meanhaving a lot of money. It means making the most of the life which you have. It means

knowing firstly what you want and need and secondly knowing how to go about getting it. This might be to do with your career, your relationships, your family, your leisure pursuits

and interests, or your emotional or material well-being.

If you are not getting what you want and need at the moment then the chances are that you will have to change something to rectify the situation. And change can be both difficult and painful especially if tackled alone.

WHAT IS LIFE-COACHING AND HOW CAN IT HELP?

Life coaching helps you to identify what you need to change and how you can go about changing it – whether that is at home, at work or at play. We do this by spending some time with you, getting to know your issues, asking the sort of questions your friends may not – and then supporting you to find your own solutions and implement them at your own speed. This level of support and challenge can help you to turn things round and, most importantly, builds your confidence and control.

It does not involve an expert telling you or advising you on what to do with your life – although we will make suggestions when appropriate! The best expert on your own life is YOU.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Each coaching programme is different and tailored to suit you. Sessions last between one and two hours and may be weekly, monthly, quarterly or as needed. Normally more frequent sessions are needed at the beginning of a programme. At the outset we define clear goals with you outlining what you would like to achieve and when. We will then recommend how many sessions you might need and agree the structure and timing of your programme with you. Programmes and objectives can, of course, be modified at any point.

WHAT BACKGROUND DO LIFE-COACHES HAVE?

Our life coach has extensive experience of working with people from all walks of life. She works with senior business leaders, sportspeople and private clients. As well as being a well-established coach with twenty years’ experience in industry, she is also a qualified body psychotherapist and can help you make changes in your personal or professional life or to improve your health and well-being.
