Maddy George

Maddy qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Hertfordshire in 2002.  She has worked for the NHS since graduating, progressing from a Rotational Physiotherapist to a Senior Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics within Peterborough and Stamford Hospital, after which she worked as Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherpist for 4 years at Hinchingrooke Hospital.  At Hinchingrooke she was especially involved in the Spinal Rehabilitation Program and Pilates classes, and also worked on Physio Direct and in the satellite clinic in St Ives.  She has seen patients privately outside her NHS work since 4 years.

Since August 2008 Maddy has been working as team leader physiotherapist in GP practices in the Peterborough area, continuing her work for the NHS alongside private clinics at St Ives Complementary Health.

Maddy is experienced in treating a wide variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems, including work- and sports- related conditions and post-surgery rehabilitation.  She has undergone training through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute to enable her to offer Pilates classes and individual core stability retraining as part of her therapeutic management.  She is also qualified to offer acupuncture for pain relief on the same basis.
